Luke Cavagnac
In conjunction with Northampton’s Arts Night Out, on Friday July 13th, UNITE will host a gallery reception for local artist, Luke Cavagnac from 6-9pm. Refreshments will be served. Luke’s work will be on display and for sale until August 8th.
Luke J. Cavagnac was born and raised in and around Northampton. In 2003 he opened up his studio/gallery in Easthampton, Mass. and named it The Invisible Fountain. Since then he has created over 4,000 paintings and counting. His aim and his motto is “Art For All”. There is nothing to “get” here. His job is to communicate with the viewer not to fool them or prove how much smarter he is than everyone else. This art is cheap but good and fast in a stream of consciousness way – never flip and cynical. Please don’t call it whimsical. For some unknown reason Luke hates that word. He might be a weirdo but Luke loves to paint these things and he hopes you will find it in your heart to love them too.
